Thank you for using AvatarCost (“the App”). AvatarCost is an iOS application that looks up a public avatar by username, lists the items it is wearing, and estimates what those items would cost today.
We value your privacy. AvatarCost has no account system and never asks you to log in to anything. It stores your lookup history on your device only. It does make outbound network requests — to the source platform’s public web API in order to perform the lookup you asked for, to our analytics service for privacy-minimized product events, and to Google AdMob only when you choose to watch an optional rewarded video. These are described below.
No account, no login: The App has no sign-up, no sign-in, and no user account. It never asks for a password or an authentication token for any service.
Usernames you look up: When you search for an avatar, the username you type is sent to the source platform’s public web API so it can return that avatar’s public profile, worn items, and prices. This is the core function of the App and cannot happen without that request. The username is sent to that platform only. It is never sent to our analytics service.
Your own username (optional): You may optionally tell the App your own username so that every avatar you check can be compared against yours. This value is stored only on your device, is used only to perform the same public lookup described above, and can be changed or removed at any time in Settings. It is never sent to our analytics service.
Photo Library Access: The App requests add-only photo access, and only at the moment you choose to save a share card. Add-only access lets the App write one image you asked it to save; it does not give the App the ability to read, browse, or list your photo library. Sharing a card or video through the iOS share sheet does not require this permission at all.
Local Storage: Your lookup history, saved outfits, cached item metadata, usage counters, and purchase entitlement are stored locally on your device. Deleting the App removes them.
Product analytics: AvatarCost sends privacy-minimized product interaction events to a developer-operated analytics service. These events help us understand whether search, the free-lookup limit, rewarded-ad choices, sharing, and the lifetime purchase flow work as intended. An event may include the event name, time, app version, build number, platform, locale, a short-lived funnel identifier, and allowlisted context such as the screen or result. We do not send the username you searched for, your own stored username, any game user ID or item ID, the raw text you typed, avatar values, names, email addresses, account identifiers, advertising identifiers, persistent device identifiers, images, or payment information. Analytics events are not linked to your identity and are not used to track you across apps or websites.
AvatarCost uses Google AdMob to display optional rewarded video ads. An ad appears only when you have used your free daily lookup and you choose to watch one in order to unlock an additional lookup. There are no banner ads and no interstitial/pop-up ads.
To deliver, measure, secure, and improve these ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect information such as IP address or IP-derived coarse location, device identifiers, advertising data, product interactions, crash logs, and performance data. Google may process this information for third-party advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, and app functionality, subject to your consent choices and applicable law.
AvatarCost requests non-personalized ads and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. Non-personalized ads are not selected using your past behavior, but Google may still use identifiers or local storage for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, fraud prevention, and ad delivery. Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform presents consent choices before ad requests are enabled. AvatarCost itself does not combine analytics events with third-party data and does not use them to track you across other apps or websites.
For details on how Google handles this data, see Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
AvatarCost offers a one-time in-app purchase (“Lifetime Pro”) that removes the daily lookup limit and the rewarded-ad gate. Payment is processed securely through Apple’s App Store via your Apple ID.
AvatarCost reads only data that the source platform already publishes publicly for any visitor, without logging in. It cannot see private inventories, private accounts, messages, friends lists, balances, or purchase history. Prices shown are the platform’s own published prices; items with no published price are listed but deliberately excluded from any total rather than estimated.
This App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Rewarded ads are optional and are requested as non-personalized ads.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
