Introduction
Fleet Board is a third-party Apple TV app for vehicle owners. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app accesses, how that data is used, and how it is stored when you use the app.
Fleet Board is not affiliated with or endorsed by Tesla, Inc.
To work with your vehicle account, the app accesses:
- Authentication Tokens: OAuth access and refresh tokens used to authenticate requests to the official Tesla vehicle API.
- Vehicle Data: Vehicle details and live status data such as model, battery level, range, charging state, climate state, and location.
Location Data
The app accesses vehicle location data only to display your vehicle on the map within the app.
- Vehicle Access: Tokens are used only to authenticate requests to the official Tesla vehicle API.
- Feature Delivery: Vehicle data is used to display status, charging, climate, range, and map information, and to send commands you initiate.
- Local Processing: Data fetching, display, and temporary caching happen locally on your Apple TV.
Data Storage and Security
- Direct Connection: Fleet Board communicates directly with Tesla’s official servers. We do not route your vehicle data through servers that we own or operate.
- Secure Local Storage: Authentication tokens are stored locally in the Apple tvOS Keychain.
- No Developer Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or sell your vehicle data or account data on our own servers.
- Local Cache: Temporary data used to render the interface is stored locally on your device.
Third-Party Services
- Tesla API: The app relies on the official Tesla vehicle API. Your use of Tesla services remains subject to Tesla’s own terms and privacy policy.
- Apple: If you enable Apple analytics or crash sharing on your device, Apple may process diagnostic data under Apple’s policies.
