Thank you for using HomeBoard (“the App”). HomeBoard is a native HomeKit dashboard for Apple TV that lets you view and control the accessories in your Apple Home — lights, thermostats, cameras, sensors, scenes, and more — on your television.
We value your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.
Data Collection and Use
We explicitly state: This App does not collect, store, or share any of your personal information with any third parties.
- Data Ownership: Your home data belongs entirely to you. The App serves solely as a tool for display and control and does not perform any data mining or analytics.
- Apple HomeKit Only: The App accesses your home exclusively through Apple’s HomeKit framework on your Apple TV. All accessory states, camera streams, and control commands are handled by HomeKit on your own devices and home network (or Apple’s end-to-end encrypted home hub relay). We never see them.
- No Accounts, No Backend: The App has no sign-up, no login, and no server maintained by the developer. We cannot access your home data, camera footage, or usage habits.
- Local Preferences Only: Small preferences (such as which room layout you chose or whether you dismissed a hint) are stored only on your Apple TV and never leave the device.
- HomeKit Permission: The first time you launch the App, tvOS asks for permission to access your home data. You can revoke this at any time in Settings on your Apple TV.
Third-Party Services
The App relies solely on Apple HomeKit. For Apple’s privacy practices regarding HomeKit and home hubs, please refer to Apple’s privacy documentation.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
Although we do not collect any data at present, we will update this privacy policy if the App’s functionality changes significantly in the future. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
